Britain’s longest-reigning monarch died on Thursday at the age of 96. Learn about her seven-decade reign, as well as what is next for the British monarchy.

Students will learn about the power of civic action to achieve justice — even 329 years later. Then, they will propose their own plan to rectify a wrong in their own community.

In this lesson plan, students will learn about the gene-editing technology known as CRISPR and its implications.

Students will examine a photo essay in which teenagers use their cameras to answer the question “What is school for?” Then, they will use the work as a model for their own responses to that question.

In this lesson, students will closely examine these spectacular pictures and consider their meaning and significance in understanding the universe — and ourselves.
