Today, Anthropic, an AI safety and research company that built Claude, is launching 10 courses on Coursera that are available for free to learners around the world. With tailored courses for developers, small business owners, creators, and teachers, learners from several fields can build technical skills to better use Anthropic’s AI products and develop AI fluency for their everyday work.
GenAI continues to be the top skill on Coursera, with 91% of learners who complete GenAI content on the platform seeing a positive career outcome. More specifically, the majority of Claude users (57%) report that AI has made their skills more valuable in the job market — not just their output, but their employability, according to Anthropic’s June 2026 Economic Index.
Anthropic ranks among Coursera’s top partners whose new content has reached the most learners over the past year. With this launch, Anthropic has nearly doubled its catalog on Coursera, taking it from 12 to 22 courses.

- Claude Code 101: Get started with coding agents by building a personalized Claude Code setup, delegating tasks, and creating specialized subagents.
- Claude Platform 101: Gain the skills you need to build and ship products with Claude by working with APIs and agent loops.
- Introduction to Subagents: Be more productive by learning what work to delegate to independent assistants and how to design them effectively.
- Introduction to Agent Skills: Streamline work by replacing repetitive prompts with Skills that Claude Code applies automatically. Learn when to use Skills and how to share them with your team.
For businesses, product professionals, and creatives
Anthropic recommends starting with their free AI Fluency: Framework & Foundations course to learn the fundamentals before taking one of these role-specific courses.
- AI Fluency for Small Businesses: Leverage AI to transform your business operations, from customer service to supply chain. This course focuses on real-world business needs and was created in partnership with Anthropic, PayPal, Prospect Butcher Company, and MAKS TIPM Rebuilders.
- AI Fluency for Builders: Increase impact by pairing your judgment with strategic AI use across the full product development process. Anthropic developed this course with CodePath for product professionals, engineers, and makers.
- AI Fluency for Creative Work: Identify where AI can add value to your creative work while protecting what makes it uniquely yours.
For teachers
- AI Fluency for pK-12 Educators: Use AI to create and evaluate differentiated instructional materials while protecting student data and staying true to your values. This course is built in partnership with Teach for America.
- AI Fluency for pK-12 Train the Trainer: After completing the above course, learn how to run an AI Fluency workshop with a ready-to-use kit, including a facilitator guide, slide deck, and grade-band exercises. Anthropic partnered with the American Federation of Teachers to create this course.
