Learning Systems Awards 2024 – Factors
Niche. One area I added is niche when identifying learning system vendors for the 2024 awards (end of the year). It doesn’t mean that every vendor has to have this, but rather, it means exploring those who do and whether or not they find success. I like to think of niche as a way to…
Gen AI: Latest Trends and Impacts on Training and Learning
The data shows that employees – perhaps your own employees are really concerned about AI replacing them. This isn’t from one source, or just one well-known entity espousing their study results, rather it is appearing in multiple studies, and not with just a few employees – but looking at it globally, with thousands of employees…
ERP LMSs – Do you really need one?
ERP is a great acronym that very people know. Even people who work at an ERP may have no clue. What they do know and perhaps you do too – are some of the vendors – Workday, SAP and Oracle. Brand name recognition. There are plenty of companies who do not purchase every module that…
Uncovering True Innovation in LMS, LXP, and Learning Platforms
Innovate? An LMS? LXP? Learning Platform? Employee Dev Platform? Are you saying that any of these platform types are innovative? Wait, LMS? Oh, that is so traditional; there isn’t any innovation there. LXP? That’s where innovation comes in (hint- it doesn’t). A Learning Platform driven by brain-centric modalities? That must be innovative. AI-first platforms. Ok,…
Learning Technology and Learning Systems: Trust and Profitability
Learning Technology: LMS, LXP, LMS/LXP, Skills Platform, Learning Platform, Authoring Tools, Third-Party Content Providers, EdTech (K-12, Higher Education). E-Learning tools. Customer Training/Education (aka legacy term as extended…
Learning System Failures – Recognize and Fix
Chris Taylor. Chris plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers, my favorite baseball team (MLB). You might have someone similar who plays for your favorite soccer team (there are sites, that mention the worst), or cricket, or hockey or football, or tidily winks. Chris was once a good player. That was about two years ago. Nowadays…
LMS Mid-Year Rankings 2024
The perfect learning management system. The best LMS for Enterprise. Top LMS for mid-market. Elite LMS for associations, non-profits, government, and even baristas. It’s hard to believe that some sectors, such as baristas, whiskey entities, or tennis, have a learning system, often an LMS. Specific to their industry. The content is for those sectors. The…
LXP – Don’t believe the Hype
For those Gen Xers who remember the days of MTV, it sure had a lot of Hype. How many saw the debut song by the Buggles – on the first day of MTV launch (8-1-81)? Where were you on that fantastic day? I was babysitting – and saw it on that first day. I was…
Learning System Trends 2024
We deal with trends. Not a learning system nor tech alone. Not due to tech stacks either. I’m talking about day-to-day life. I had a trend occur just over a week ago. An accident, fall if you will, with the probability that I would hit my head, and score another concussion (which would have been…
