Register for the live webinar on Thursday, Feb. 10 at 4 p.m. Eastern.
From climate change and genetic engineering to space exploration and vaccine efficacy, science topics are at the heart of many of today’s biggest news stories. In this webinar, science educators will discuss how they use New York Times reporting and multimedia to connect their classrooms to the current events shaping our world.
During the webinar, we’ll explore popular Times features like the Trilobites column and the Upshot, video series like ScienceTake and recent stories with 3-D modeling. Plus we’ll spotlight relevant Learning Network resources like our STEM Writing Contest, Lesson of the Day and What’s Going On in This Graph? series.
Our goal is for teachers to leave the webinar with practical teaching ideas and resources they can use in their science classrooms right away.
C.T.L.E. credit is available for New York educators. All participants will receive a certificate of completion.
